For a long time, I thought I had to compose every part of a song. Then I saw *The Wrecking Crew!*, the movie about studio musicians in LA. And I thought, shit, if Steely Dan can just go into a studio and tell a bassist to play fifty lines until they get the one they want, I'm going to use samples.
My long-term vision is to source my samples from some of awesome musicians I know but that's a question of $$$$ as always.
I have no problem with samples. Producers get paid to make them! We'll see what I can come up with. I'd love to work with a super good vocalist on a synth pop jam.
This is one of my favorites of yours. Who is the vocalist? Or is that a sample? Really cool my dude.
Thank you, Sean 🙏
These are Splice samples that I kludged together. The next album I'll have some of my own vocals 😳 drowned in a bathtub of autotune.
Splicing is its own craft. You're inspiring me to crank up the old Ableton and make some tunes.

Anyway, please share what you make and tag me! ❤️

Someone with a suspiciously similar name just bought my album. If you happen to know them, please give them my eternal gratitude. 🙏
