It was a grin wider than a shark's, smugger than a cat's. Lleek Gonger rubber his tentacles, his three eyes gleaming at the ascending numbers on his vidcrystal. It had of course been very profitable to sell high-tech shielding to one side and then high-tech breakpulsars to the other. There had been a small initial investment, an assassination there, sabotage there, but in the end Lleek believed two things.
The first was that the two tribes of asteroiders would have come into conflict sooner or later, was he really so evil for speeding matters along, why it was a public service to get it going!
The second, was that you had to spend a little money, to make a lot of money.
He considered what competing tech to sell next, forgetting his nonsense self-justification he even wondered what would drag the conflict out longer.
His third belief was that a little manageable war was good for business.
...
On the music itself, on a personal level, not quite this teller's cup of tea, he prefers ballad-style lyrics as opposed to using lyrics as another instrument.
Impersonally though?
Not what one would consider a transcendent piece, few are, but it's more than serviceable and someone could well end up humming it and mumbling the words. Unquestionably competent. A well crafted piece, yes.
If you don't like using your own voice, vocaloids and the like have most of their flaws masked by this type of music. Didn't hear any issues but a thing to bear in mind is that your voice is limited in only being your voice, there's only so far you can go with regard to getting certain sounds from it.
In a bald naked example you'd likely have trouble using it for female vocals, if you wanted that for a piece.
As for the practicals of vocaloids and alternatives, other than knowing they exist, this teller can give no advice on what's the best to use, there's probably some free version that doesn't take royalties, beyond that dunno.
Don't know about now, but years ago the quality levels of synthetic vocals was all over the place, and generally sounded better in Japanese than English. Doubtless a good deal of that was not understanding Japanese though.
Would assume it's improved a lot given how old it is now.
